Product Description for TTR 13500 Adsorption Dryer
Highest dry air performance even at low dew point
With a nominal dehumidification capacity of around 1,790 kilograms per day and a of 13,300 cubic meters of dry air per hour at a static pressure of 400 Pa, the TTR 13500 is optimally equipped even for very high dry air demand even in cool environments with low dew points.
The best prerequisites, for example, for permanent dry maintenance, gas dehumidification or dry air production in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries as well as in mechanical engineering, but also for the protection of machines, inventory and buildings against corrosion, condensate or mould formation, for example in water technology facilities or electrical control centres.
High performance made in Germany
It is not without good reason that you benefit from a durable and service-friendly design with a very long service life - after all, the TTR 13500 is an adsorption dryer developed and manufactured in Germany, according to the highest quality standards from original Trotec production, which houses exclusively efficient brand-name components of the latest technology generation from leading component manufacturers.
Perfect flow
The high-performance fans of the TTR 13500 are driven by energy-saving EC motors whose speed can be adjusted independently by means of a Duoventic controller. Thanks to this integrated Duoventic air volume control, you can quickly configure the TTR 13500 drying unit to meet any requirement without any conversion work: Extremely dry air with low air flow, larger volumes of dry air or maximum recirculation capacity with moderate dry air content.
FlowMatic S keeps the volume flow reliably on target
The TTR 13500 adsorption dehumidifier is equipped with FlowMatic S volume flow control as a standard feature, which automatically detects and compensates for pressure losses with the aid of sensors. The flow rate or pressure control can be adjusted as desired via a control signal. As soon as the FlowMatic S registers deviations, it counteracts them and thus guarantees that the specified volume flow or pressure is maintained at a constant level. This means that a constant flow of dry air is always available in the desired quantity.
High performance even at low dew points
The adsorption dehumidifiers of the TTR series make use of the the vapor pressure difference between the humid air and a hygroscopic sorbent which is incorporated into a drying wheel and has an extremely large surface structure. This process ensures high dehumidification performance even at low humidity and low air air temperatures.
TTR Trisorp Dual Principle
The TTR 13500 has two separate air ducts for process and regeneration air, each with a fan. The process air to be dehumidified is drawn in by a fan and flows through the dehumidification sector of the continuously rotating drying wheel, where the moisture it contains is removed by binding in the sorbent and it then flows as dry air to the air outlet.
The regeneration air is also sucked in by a separate fan and led through the rinsing sector. As the drying wheel heats up due to the adsorption heat released and the regeneration heat, the flushing sector is used for heat recovery and cooling of the drying wheel, which equally reduces the required energy input and leads to improved dehumidification performance, especially at lower dew points.
When flowing through the heating coil, the air is strongly heated and thus its relative humidity is extremely reduced, so that the air can now reabsorb the moisture bound in the silica gel when passing the regeneration sector and can be discharged to the outside as extremely humid regeneration air through the humid air outlet.
Added value at no extra cost
The TTR 13500 dehumidifier is already equipped with numerous standard functions and features that ensure reliable operation, easy handling and long service life, with low maintenance requirements:
- Millenium PLC control module for precise energy management.
- FlowMatic volume flow control
- Rotor spin control (rotor and drive)
- Excess-temperature safety system with restart interlock (regeneration air)
- Operating temperature management (regeneration air)
- G4 air filter in Z-Line design with electronic monitoring and collective warning light
- External on/off connection and hygrostat connection terminals
- Dry contacts for operation, fault and filter
- Configurable air direction reversal
- Robust and easy-to-maintain steel housing, galvanized and painted
In addition, the TTR 13500 can be equipped with numerous features to meet your individual needs.
Configurable air direction reversal
A practical detail for stationary industrial use, especially with piped installation, is the configurable air reversal of the TTR units, because it is precisely in such applications that new or additional units must be able to be flexibly integrated into existing processes.
The dehumidifier housing is already prepared at the factory for the mirror-inverted configuration of the air flow, so that this unit can always be set up with the operating side facing the user, regardless of the process air direction. If desired, the air direction can be optionally adapted to your individual processes by module reversal. Blow out dry air on the right and discharge moist air on the left - or exactly the other way round - no problem thanks to configurable air direction reversal.
Service-friendly design
All adsorption drying units in the TTR series are designed to be extremely easy to maintain. Lockable doors and filter flaps and the control cabinet flap allow quick access to all elements at any time. In addition, the robust housing is optimally prepared to accommodate optional extensions or individual special solutions.
Versatile application possibilities
Due to its very high dehumidification performance in permanent operation even at low dew points, the TTR 13500 adsorption drying unit is suitable for a wide range of applications, for example:
- Pre-dehumidification of conveying air to maintain the trickle and flow of hygroscopic products in storage, conveying and dosing systems.
- Process air dehumidification for gas turbines and humidity control in gas distribution stations
- Ice-freeing of freezing tunnels and deep-freeze warehouses
- Air dehumidification or process air drying in areas of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, electronics and semiconductor industry or food industry
- Prevention of condensation, material changes, or granulate clumping in plastics processing
- Process air drying and plant dehumidification in the steel industry
- Air drying and dew point control in cold stores
- Air drying of water-technical equipment and pumping stations
- Climate conditioning of ammunition depots or defense equipment stores
- Air dehumidification and dew point control in clean and dry rooms
- Climatic conditioning in dry air storage or wood storage halls
