As a 20 kW strong infrared oil heater, the IRO 15 generates effective radiant heat, which is not transported through the air but via light waves and heats objects and surfaces immediately.
Because there is no air circulation in this type of heating, no dust is stirred up - ideal for use in dusty rooms with large quantities of liquids or for drying paint and varnish.
Since the heat in infrared oil heating is not transported via the medium of air but via light waves, wind has no influence on the heat output, which is why the IRO 15 is also recommended for spot heating in draughty environments.
Benefit additionally from the fast heating effect of this device:
In contrast to air heaters, which heat the air only gradually, the heat radiation of the IRO 15 begins directly after switching on - without preheating costs and waiting time, 100% radiant heat is transferred from the heater to the illuminated object with almost no loss.
At the same time, this infrared oil heater not only heats particularly efficiently but also quietly, because the IRO 15 generates just half as much noise as a comparable direct oil heater fan!
Effective spot heating with light waves
Like other direct oil heaters, the IRO 15 can be fired with diesel, which is often cheaper than gas or electricity. Since this technology also releases combustion gases into the ambient air, the operating environment must be well ventilated. In contrast to direct heaters, however, the heat generated by the IRO 15 is not released directly into the air but is used to heat a radiant panel.
While the cooling fan cools the ceramic insulation chamber from the outside with ambient air drawn in, air is supplied to the burner via an integrated fan. This air is sprayed at high pressure through a nozzle into the combustion chamber with fuel drawn from the tank and burnt at maximum heat development. As a result, the radiating plate heats up in such a way that it emits directed IR radiant heat.
Using short infrared waves, the IRO 15 delivers effective heat immediately to where it is needed without air circulation. As with the warm rays of the sun, the infrared radiation of the IRO 15 heats illuminated bodies and objects directly and without thermal losses: only what is illuminated is heated, the air in between has no effect. Unlike the sun, however, the infrared radiation of the IRO 15 is not harmful to people, as it does not contain any UV waves.
In addition, the radiant heat reaches the radiated body from the heater without loss, which is why this technology can achieve an efficiency of almost 100%.
High radiant heat plus economical oil firing
The IRO 15 combines the process advantages of electric infrared heaters with the performance and economic mode of operation of directly fired oil heaters. The bottom line is that with the IRO 15, users have an ultra-powerful infrared heater with low operating costs and an impressive heating capacity of 20 kW.
This high thermal energy without disturbing air circulation enables you to use it in a variety of applications in well ventilated indoor or covered outdoor areas.
For example, machines or pipelines can be defrosted, frozen heating systems can be defrosted in an energy-saving manner, painting work or wall coatings can be dried and work areas can be heated in a targeted manner and completely draught-free. The infrared rays heat the affected areas directly and not the ambient air.
